Proteus sees a lot of burn cases, mainly from different heat sources that have not been guarded. This is why it is always worth guarding your heat source. But in this particular case someone brought a Bosc monitor and the only thing they new was that they had to keep it warm. This is true, they do have to be kept warm, so this person thought he would save money and put it in his airing cupboard. Big mistake! The monitor in it's aim to get warm decided to climb in between the hot water tank and the lagging. Ouch, I hear you say. When the owner checked up one him, they were shocked to find their monitor had melted to the hot water tank with major bodily burns. In shear panic they were confused as to what to do next. Then on Christmas eve, the monitor arrived at the centre, hence the monitor's new name 'Christian'. Working all over Christmas trying to treat his burns which by this time were at least a week old with a lot of the body tissue severely damaged and septic, he started to pull through amazingly well with the burns heeling up. However, the burns were more severe and intense than originally anticipated. In fact, when Christian died a number of weeks later, it was found that a number of his internal organs had actually fused together through the burns making them non functional. Yet this could so easily have been avoided at such a little cost. If only they had known! |
